Mr. Potter began teaching at Neal Middle school in 2015. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing. He was a writer for the University’s newspaper where he wrote several featured articles about the school’s community, and its sports, arts, and entertainment offerings. In 2010, The University selected a play he wrote to be the headliner in the school’s annual play Festival, Golgonooza. In 2018, he earned his educator’s license from North Carolina after completing the state’s lateral entry program.
His class is supplemental to students’ English Language Arts class that reinforces foundational reading concepts and vocabulary, and introduces students to a variety of topics.
